Age categoies:
Categorie I: 40-49 Years
Categorie II: 50-59 Years
Categorie III: 60-69 Years
Categorie IV: 70 Years and over
Eligibility to compete in a particular age group is decided by accomplished age on the first day of tournament (19 May 2009).
Every fencer can only start in the age group to which he or she belongs.
When fewer than 6 fencers enter a particular age group event, their event will be combined with the next nearest age group but separate results.
Accreditation:
The following documents must be presented at time of accreditation:
- Passport or Identity Card
- Licences ( Every fencer has to have a national fencing licence of the respective country.
The FIE licence is not obligatory.)
- Discharge of Responsability (to be signed at accreditation).

In accordance with the FIE rules
Equipment control:
Masks, electric vests, body cords and weapons are controlled.
The control of equipment will take place the day before each competition.
Formula:
According to the rules and the special decisions of the European Veteran Fencing Committee.
Entry fee:
30.00 € are to be paid per participant per weapon with the accreditation in cash.
Entry:
The registration can only be made by the national federation. The number of participants per federation is not limited. The federation will be informed about the acceptance of the registration after the deadline.

Referees:
Less than 5 fencers no referees to be supplied, a nation with at least 5 fencers per weapon and per day has to present one qualified referee. With 10-14 fencers per weapon 2 referees, with 15-19 fencers per weapon 3
referees, with 20 fencers or more per weapon 4 referees. For every missing referee per weapon and per day a charge of 100.00 € has to be paid in advance at the beginnig of the competition. The organizers will supply all referees with drinks and refreshments.
Reward:
Gold, silver and 2 bronze medals for the finalists.
Accommodation:
The organizers have special offers with agreed hotel prices on the homepage:
www.balatonvivas.huIt will be organized a transfer between the hotels and the fencing hall.

Transport:
In accordance with preliminary order a transport will be organized between Budapest-Balatonfüred-Budapest. The transport costs have to be paid ont he spot.
Gala Dinner:
The price for the Gala Dinner, with music and dance, amounts to 50.00 €, is to be paid at accreditation.
Responsability:
The organizers are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or other damages or lost objets. Each fencer, referee, coach, companion and spectator of the tournament paricipates at his/her own risk and responsability.
