Regulations.
The official rules for FIE Satellite Tournaments apply. All fencers must be equipped in accordance with the FIE rules: fencing uniform 800 N, masks 1600 N bib. FIE license 2008/2009 is obligatory.
Formula.
First pre-tournament round of poules. All fencers entered must compete. No elimination from this round. Second round of poules, seeded after first. 20-30% of fencers will be eliminated after this round. D.E. ranking after the second round only. D.E. without repêchage to the final four.

Entries to satellite competitions and all possible replacement is to be made by the national federation via the FIE Website, lates 8 days before start (October 31st). After the deadline for entries indicated on the FIE website, there can be no further additional entries or withdrawal of names except in case of properly autenticated injury or force majeure. However, before the Tuesday preceding the competition:
- a fencer may be replaced by another. To do this, the national federations must send to the FIE, in writing (fax or e.mail) a request for a fencer to be replaced.
- one or more fencers may be added, on payment to the FIE of a fine of 150 euros per fencer added.
To do this, the national federations must send to the FIE, in writing (fax, or e-mail) a request to add a fencer, together with a copy of the bank transfer for the appropriate fine.
Arbitres:
Each club having more than four fencers must provide at least one referee.
Entry fee:
all participants– 200 NOK (20 Euro).

Doping control may be carried out
(According to regulations set by Norwegian Confederations of Sports (NIF) all participants shall be under an obligation to submit themselves to a doping control. An athlete will be disqualified from participation and results made void in the event of a positive doping control.)
