WE TAKE GREAT PLEASURE IN INVITING YOU TO THE INTERNATIONAL
FENCING TOURNAMENT , WC satellite - OSLO CUP 2006

Under the auspices of the Norwegian Fencing Federation, the tournament will be held in Oslo and is the part of a Nordic FIE satellite competition on épée.

Place: Oslo, Bygdøy, Bygdøhus, Huk Aveny 45. Date: 11-12. November 2006

The competition program will be as follows:

Saturday 11 th November:

Epee individual, men. FIE WC satellite:
08:45-09:15 Registration and mask control.
09:30- start 1.round,
11:30- start 2.round,
14:00- start D.E. 17:30- Final (4 fencers)

Epee ladies national teams ( 4-6 teams);
Registration start 12:30-13:00, start 13:15

Epee ladies clubs teams -
Registration start 12:30-13:00, start 13:30

Sunday 12 th November:

Epee individual, ladies. FIE WC satellite:
08:45-09:15 Registration and mask control.
09:30- start 1.round,
11:30- start 2.round,
13:30- start D.E., 16:30- Final (4 fencers)

Epee men national teams ( 4-6 teams);
Registration 10:45-11:15, start 11:30

Epee men clubs teams
Registration 10:45- 11:45, start 11:45

Prizes (Epee men / ladies individual): 1.pl.- 31% of start fee, 2.pl.- 23% of start fee, 3.pl.- 13% of start fee

Regulations: The official rules for FIE Satellite Tournaments apply. All fencers must be equipped in accordance with the FIE rules: fencing uniform 800 N, masks 1600 N bib. FIE license 2006/2007 is obligatory.

Formula: One pre-tournament round of poules. All fencers entered must compete. No elimination from this round. Second round of poules, seeded after first. 20-30% of fencers will be eliminated after this round. D.E. ranking after the second round only. D.E. without repêchage to the final four.

Entries to satellite competitions and all possible replacement is to be made
by national federation via the FIE Website, lates 8 days before start (2 november) From the deadline for entries indicated on the FIE website, there can be no further additional entries or the withdrawal of the name exept in case of properly autenticated injury or force majeure. However, before the Tuesday preceding the competition:
- a fencer may be replaced by another. To do this, the national federations must send to the FIE, in writing (fax or e.mail) a request for a fencer to be replaced.
- one or more fencers may be added, on payment to the FIE of a fine of 150 euros per fencer added. To do this, the national federations must send to the FIE, in writing (fax, or e-mail) a request to add a fencer, together with a copy of the bank transfer for the appropriate fine.

Arbitres: FIE rules. Each country having more than four fencers must provide at least one referee.

Entry fee: all participants– 150 NOK (20 Euro), clubteam- 300 NOK (40 Euro)

Payment must reach BYF latest by 5 November 2006 or you can pay 30 min. before start.

Doping control may be carried out (According to regulations set by Norwegian Confederations of Sports (NIF) shall all participants be under an obligation to submit themselves to a doping control. An athlete will
be disqualified from participation and results made void in the event of a positive doping control.)
