Hei, anybody else out there interested in cross-training for fencing, in preparation for the spring international competitions? I'm thinking of jogging, soccer/footie, handball, judo, tennis, you name it, as long as it gets the heart working and builds core strength or leg muscle.

Maybe I should have made it clear...I'm an OMS member, but I live in Helsinki. I've started ashtanga yoga and jogging so far. Anyone else want to join in, or have other ideas for cross-training? (It's always more fun in a group!) Come on guys, I've seen some of us getting out of breath from a little 15-touch bout. How are we going to cream our neighbors at the Nordic Championships if we aren't in peak form? :D

Actually, if you are not out of breath in a 15-touch bout, you are not doing it properly ;-)

For cross-training, I do weights, jumps, jogging and biking. I play basketball and football at our club trainings.

Not doing any of that for a while, though. Got a nasty ankle injury in Amsterdam.
