International epée competition on the Castle of Kalmar
The competition will take place on saturday the 1:st of july at 09.00 a.m.
We fence together in two classes, up to 14 years old and over 14 years
old, but the price list will be divided in all age classes and in men/
women.
After a first pool, the best 50 - 60% will be ranked uppward and the
rest downward repeatedly after every pool. In the end there will be final
pools for everyone. The four or eight best fencers will meet in a direct
elimination. There will be lots of fencing for everyone!
Best woman gets her name carved in the Touché broadsword, the best
man in the Åke Möller Cup.
The motto of the competition is friendship and sportsmanship. The
fencers are also presidents. There will be no metals pists, all matches will
be on grass. Be sure to wear good shoes, like running shoes. If any fencer
has disadvantage of getting the sun in his eyes, the fencer will switch side
after half the match. In case of rainy weather, the competition will be
moved to a nearby fencing hall. Control of weapons and clothing will be
made on the pists when deemed necessary.
