Invitation will probably come out really late - you might want to book plane tickets beforehand. National qualifying event for the French rankings, so usually 60-plus competitors for foil, 80-plus for epee, a couple dozen for sabre. Unfortunately organized so you can't do more than one weapon, though. Be warned that the equipment vendors sell only French spare parts, which are not compatible with Allstar. A nice range of levels from intermediate to national team members. A good competition since it isn't on the same weekend as a world cup. Sometimes cheap German Wings flights Helsinki-Bonn/Bonn-Paris. Hotels in the area from about 35-40 Euros a night. Obviously less if shared - anyone else interested in going, let me know at dmpill@aol.com Dana |
