You can book direct flights to Kazan from Frankfurt, Prague and Istanbul. Flights from other cities have to go via Moscow (in this case please check carefully if you have to change the airport in Moscow!).
At the moment accomodation is arranged at Hotel Riviera and Hotel Bulgar, other hotels may follow. The venue for the championships is the “Ak Bars” Wrestling Palace, close to the Riviera Hotel and on the bank of Kazanka River.

Kilpailusta kiinostuneet miekkailijat pyydetään ilmoittautumaan toiminnanjohtajalle viimeistään ti 19.4.2011

Kilpailuun saa osallistua 4 miekkailijaa per aselaji per maa.
Mahdollinen karstinta tehdään senioreiden FIE rankingin mukaan, ks. tarkemmin arvokisakriteerit http://www.fencing.fi/main/index.php?id=83

U23 miekkailijat osallistuvat U23 EM-kilpailuun 100% omalla kustannuksellaan.

Dear Member Federations,

Here are some information with regard to the European U-23 Championships in Kazan next month.
The website www.kazanfencing.com is still not 100% working with details demanded by our member federations. In order to book accomodation you should at the moment go to the French or Russian part of the website. There you find the 3 official hotels with prices:
• Bulgar Hotel, single room 50 EUR, double bed room 80 EUR
• Park Inn Hotel, single room 80 EUR, double bed room 100 EUR
• Hotel Riviera, single room 80 EUR, double bed room 120 EUR
• I also assume that these prices include breakfast – but I am not sure.

There is also offered transport from Kazan airport to the hotels at 30 EUR per person, and again I assume this is the price for both ways.
We are still in constant contact with the organisers to improve the website and to give you as much information as possible. But your most important issue is to apply for the visa – please do this as soon as you know your team.
