Invitation to Le duel - Coupe du Nord Sweden FIE Tournoi satellite sabre masculin Welcome to Örebro, Sweden and Le Duel - Coupe du Nord 2011. Le Duel is a FIE satellite tournament, it’s a challenge for world cup points! The individual finals will be held at the historical Örebro castle, built in the middle of the 13th century by the Swedish king Magnus Eriksson. The challenge-prize is an inscription on the beautiful sabre from the late 19th century donated by the legendary Swedish fencer Carl-Olof Enhagen. Program Saturday 12th of February 2011 Registration Start Competition 09:30 10:00 Sabre, men, Coupe du Nord (FIE satellite tournament) 09:30 10:00 Sabre, ladies, Coupe du Nord Sunday 13th of February 2011 Registration Start Competition 09:30 10:00 Sabre, teams, Coupe du Nord (mixed) 09:30 10:00 Junior, men & women, fencers born 1991 or later Weapon control Saturday from 08:30 Sunday from 08:30 Venue Saturday’s competition, the youth competition and the team competition on Sunday will be held in Karolinska Skolan, Olaigatan 25, Örebro. The individual finals (Saturday) at Örebro castle. Entries Registrations for the FIE satellite tournament (sabre men) must take place over the FIE webpage by the national federations 8 days before the competition at the latest. Registrations for the other competitions to eric@fencing.se before 8th of February. Please state your name, nation, club and age. Entry fee sabre men and sabre ladies SEK 175:- / fencer. Junior competition SEK 50:- / fencer. Team SEK 300:- / team. Referees According to FIE rules 1-4 fencers: 0 referees 5-9 fencers: 1 referee 10- fencers: 2 referees Formula • One pre tournament round of pools seeded on the formula laid down in the Coupe du Nord rules. There are no eliminations from this round. • One round pools seeded on the indicators of all the fencers in the pre round. 20-30% of the fencers will be eliminated after this round of pools. • Direct elimination, seeded on the results from the second round of pools, without reperchage. • FIE rules will apply. Doping control Doping control will be effectuated according to the rules of the Coupe du Nord.
