COUPE DE COPENHAGUE – COPENHAGEN CUP

Men’s foil category A, men’s saber satellite World Cup

January 13-14, 2007

The Danish Fencing Federation takes pride in inviting the world’s fencers
to our world cup tournaments in men’s foil and men’s saber. In 2007 we
will celebrate our 100th anniversary, and we intend to mark this with a
super event. In addition to the world cup competitions there will be
competitions in men’s epee, ladies’ epee, foil, and saber, as well as a saber
team competition.

Venue and transport
The fencing will take place in VALBY-HALLEN, Julius Andersens Vej 1,
2450 København SV [map: www.krak.dk – choose “kort” – in the box
“Vej/husnr” type: “julius andersens vej 1”, and in the box “Postnr./By”
type: “2450 københavn sv”]. The nearest commuter train stations (Sstations)
are Ellebjerg and Sjælør. The nearest bus stops are on lines 18
and 30 (from Copenhagen Central Station) and line 3A.

We recommend the following hotels in Copenhagen:

Registration
Registration for the world cup tournaments MUST take place over the FIE
webpage (www.fie.ch). The deadline for the foil competition is 15 days
prior to the event. The deadline for the saber competition is 8 days prior to
the event. Registration for the other competitions should be mailed to the
Danish Fencing Federation: dff@dif.dk. Deadline January 5, 2007.


Rules
The world cup competitions will follow the FIE rules strictly.

Anti-doping
Drug controls will be carried out


Referees
Participating federations are required to send referees in accordance with
the FIE requirements. The names of the referees, together with their FIE
category should be communicated to the Danish Fencing Federation by
January 5, 2007.


Entry Fees
The entry fee is 20 € (or 150 DaKr) per person in each of the individual
competitions, and 20 € (or 150 DaKr) per saber team.


Cafeteria
The cafeteria of Valby-Hallen will be open
